Downfall patching - CVE-2022-40982

This is an informational notice regarding CVE-2022-40982, also known as Downfall.
MyTimetable related infrastructure will be patched to mitigate this vulnerability:
- The operating system on our servers has been patched in last Friday's maintenance window
- Our infrastructure provider has brought forward their regular maintenance window and have announced they will patch all underlying hosts of their fleet between 1st of September and 1st of October
The maintenance from (2) will be carried out in the afternoons and no downtime is expected due to the redundant nature of the infrastructure. It is also expected that the maintenance will take less than the whole month that is announced.
Any relevant updates from our infrastructure provider will be added to this notice.
Please note that we will monitor our systems for a potential performance impact related to patching this vulnerability.
