The scheduled maintenance is now underway. We'll keep you updated on our progress.

Scheduled

We are updating our MyTimetable SSL/TLS infrastructure to enhance security and performance. As part of this change, we are transitioning from RSA-based certificates to ECDSA (Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm) certificates.

📅 What’s Changing?

  • Auto-renewed certificates on production using LetsEncrypt will be reissued using ECDSA within the next 60 days, depending on when they were last renewed.
  • Manually provided certificates will be updated to ECDSA upon their next renewal. We will be issuing ECDSA-based Certificate Signing Requests from now on.
  • All of our test infrastructure has already been updated to use ECDSA certificates for systems that rely on auto-renewal.
  • Our DataSync production infrastructure will be auto-renewed in 20 days.

Why ECDSA?

  • Stronger security with smaller key sizes
  • Faster performance during secure connections
  • Reduced resource usage on both servers and clients

⚠️ Potential Compatibility Notes

  • ECDSA is supported by all modern browsers and operating systems.
  • A small number of legacy systems (e.g., very old browsers, embedded devices, or outdated enterprise software) may not support ECDSA certificates.
  • If you experience issues connecting securely, please ensure your system is up to date or contact our support team for assistance.

Thank you for your continued trust and support as we work to keep your data secure and connections fast.
